Location: Milton Keynes (Scania UK Learning Academy) Working hours: Monday to Friday Salary: Starting from £60,000 Working Arrangement: Hybrid working

About the Role
Scania GB invites applications for a Technical Training Manager to join their People Development Management Team. This role requires people management experience and a strong background in the automotive technical sector, with deep knowledge of the industry and current training methodologies.
The Technical Training Manager will lead the strategy, planning, and delivery of bespoke technical training programs, ensuring high standards of knowledge transfer, competence, and customer satisfaction. The role will be based at the new state-of-the-art Learning Academy in Milton Keynes (from September 2026), with temporary travel to Loughborough (current Academy) until the move.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Planning
- Define and deliver a technical training roadmap aligned with vehicle fleets, new technologies, and business priorities.
- Identify capability gaps and convert them into structured learning programs.
- Serve as the primary contact for senior stakeholders in terms of planning training needs and tracking progress.

Programme Delivery
- Oversee end-to-end technical training delivery across Academies, field operations, and networks.
- Maintain consistent quality and standards across all training methods.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with the People Development team to assess and improve training effectiveness based on feedback and evaluations.
- Partner with Technical, Network Development, and Branch Operations teams.
- Act as the key liaison between subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and suppliers.
Content & Standards
- Direct the development and maintenance of technical learning content.
- Ensure alignment with operational standards and compliance requirements.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor KPIs related to training effectiveness and competence.
- Present insight-driven reports to support strategic decision-making.
Supplier & Resource Management
- Manage external providers and internal trainer capabilities.
- Optimise resource planning and utilisation.

- Technical Expertise: Extensive background in technical training or experience as a technician, aiming to transition into a training role.
- Relevant Qualifications: Certifications or qualifications that align with automotive technical training.
