Role Overview
The Technician's core work involves working in a team as a tank cleaning engineer. This role includes the preparation of removing pipework and man lids to enable core work, entering above or below ground tanks using the “confined space” method for cleaning, ensuring the tank is as clean as possible.
The Technician will also contribute to the operation of numerous departments within the division, including Tank & Line Lining, Testing, De-Watering of fuel tanks, forecourt maintenance, compliance auditing, and any other department as requested.
Responsibilities include identifying root causes of problems and providing customers with long-term solutions. This position involves a high degree of manual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate independently or as part of a team to perform and deliver services to all customers of the Company, including forecourt maintenance works, VR visual testing, and tank dewatering.
- Respond and react to call-outs for critical issues.
- Satisfy the duties of a site supervisor/lead operative when necessary, including attending site briefings as a company representative and acting as a team leader.
- Carry out near miss & potential incident reporting. In-house training will be provided.
- Liaise with customers on-site to discuss ongoing works and further services of the Company.
- Maintain a clean vehicle and ensure all equipment, tools, PPE, and other work items are in good order and repair, available for use at all times. Notify supervision immediately of any damage.
- Complete all works in a timely manner, including all paperwork and submission to divisional supervision.
- Liaise with supervision regarding all works and recommend improvements or opportunities.
- Undertake any other duties for which the Technician is qualified and capable.

Qualifications
About You
- Must possess a clean UK driving license, categories to operate Company vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
- Experience working on and around petrol forecourts.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation (advantageous).
- Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase the capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
