  • Support risk assessment, COSHH, PUWER and electrical safety requirements, and contribute to open events, employer engagement and enrichment activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will hold a recognised Level 3 or higher engineering qualification and have relevant practical experience. Experience of supporting workshops, laboratories, marine systems or education-based engineering projects would be advantageous.

What Will You Bring To The Role

  • Adapting - you remain calm when priorities change and switch efficiently between preparing practical sessions, responding to equipment issues, supporting learners and maintaining records. You adjust your approach while keeping workshops and laboratories safe and effective.
  • Collaborating - you work positively with lecturers, learners, managers, employers and contractors. You listen carefully, consider different perspectives and communicate technical guidance clearly and respectfully.
  • Focus - you pay close attention to safety-critical details when checking equipment, preparing resources and maintaining records. You stay composed under pressure and make timely decisions when an issue could affect safety or teaching.
  • Problem Solving - you use practical knowledge and logical thinking to diagnose faults and resolve technical or resource problems. You investigate unfamiliar issues, apply new knowledge and recommend improvements to equipment and working practices.
