If you already have experience in the design and delivery of highway reconstruction/resurfacing, then this role will be an ideal opportunity to take your career forward.

Your role
Required
This is a wide-ranging role in which you will assist with the technical aspects required for project delivery, including feasibility, concept design, detailed design, preparation of tender and contract documentation, invitation of tenders and supervision of construction works on site. - Contribute to implementing projects to meet the requirements of quality, health & safety and environmental standards.
- Assist the Team Leader with the preparation of schemes for delivery, including measurements on site, drawings and schedules, along with spot-check supervision on site.
- Ensure compliance of your work with a high regard to Health and Safety and the application of the CDM Regulations and other legislation.
- Set and work to personal deadlines, team targets and scheme requirements.
Your profile
- Hold, or be working towards, a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related subject.
- Experience in the design, implementation and supervision of highway reconstruction/resurfacing schemes.
- An appreciation of relevant legislation, standards and procedures.
- Experience of contributing to investigations, finding solutions and seeking options for studies, including cost estimates and preparation of drawings and schedules.
- An appreciation of relevant legislation and guidelines such as the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, British and European Standards, Eurocodes and Codes of Practice.
- Initiative and ingenuity in solving problems.
- Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Working capability in AutoCAD, or a willingness to learn quickly.
