Job Title: Technician - Hospitality and Salon Studies
(18.5 Hours per week - 40 weeks of the year)
As a Technician, you’ll be supporting the curriculum delivery in Hospitality across Kitchens and Restaurant. You will ensure that everything is up to a safe operational state and prepare all class-related materials efficiently and effectively. You will also be keeping track of stock and maintaining them to make sure that all relevant courses run smoothly.
In this role, you will:
- Supporting teachers and students with the curriculum
- Preparing all relevant materials
- Maintaining all Kitchens equipment and reporting anything to the technician supervisor where needed
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations
- Keeping stock at a reasonable level and reordering from suppliers where needed
- Maintaining and cleaning kitchens
Essential Qualifications:
- Education to level 2 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent

Desirable Qualifications:
- Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent
Essential Experience:
- Practical industrial experience within a commercial kitchen/catering trade.
- Experience with working effectively as part of a team.
- Awareness of Health & Safety at Work and related issues.
- Good experience in using ILT skills
