ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,300 colleagues. This is a very exciting time to join us at our newest site as a Technologist to support site compliance and help drive high standards across our operations.
About The Role
This is a key role within the Technical team, supporting the delivery and maintenance of site compliance against customer and regulatory standards. You will work closely with operational teams to ensure standards such as BRC, food safety and ethical requirements are consistently met, while promoting a strong culture of compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Support site compliance with BRC, customer standards, organics and ethical requirements.
- Assist in maintaining HACCP, QMS and technical documentation.
- Conduct internal audits and support the audit schedule, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Monitor GMP standards and ensure actions are closed within agreed timescales.
- Support external audits and customer visits as required.
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage day-to-day pest control processes on site.
- Report technical KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager when required.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Food Science, Agriculture or similar, or relevant industry experience.
- Experience in a Technical or food production environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards (Level 2 minimum, Level 3 desirable), and internal auditing experience/qualification.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence others.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Full UK Driving license
- A flexible attitude. You will need to cover at other sites when required and sometimes work out of hours and occasional weekend days.
