Hours of work: Full time 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday.
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 dependent on experience.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technology Consultant with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem to lead workshops for both new and existing clients and deliver high-quality Microsoft-focused projects.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise across Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365, Intune, Defender, and complementary technologies such as Microsoft Purview to help organisations modernise, secure, and optimise their digital workplace environments.
Working as part of the Professional Services team, you will collaborate closely with pre-sales consultants and client stakeholders to design, implement, and deliver tailored technology solutions that address business requirements and drive measurable value.
The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies, coupled with a passion for helping clients maximise their investment in Microsoft 365 licensing and associated Azure services. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in a growing practice area, contribute to complex and rewarding projects, and become an integral member of the Softwerx Professional Services team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer workshops to identify business requirements and define technology solutions
- Design and deliver Microsoft cloud solutions across Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, Defender, Purview, and Azure services
- Provide trusted technical consultancy to help clients modernise, secure, and optimise their IT environments
- Deliver projects from design through to implementation, ensuring successful outcomes and customer satisfaction
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, including solution designs and operational handovers
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, internal/external consultants, and pre-sales teams throughout engagements
- Maximise customer value from Microsoft technologies, licensing, and cloud investments
- Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to clients and colleagues
- Stay current with Microsoft technologies, best practices, and industry trends
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Microsoft MS-102 certification
- Extensive knowledge and hands on experience with:
- Microsoft Entra
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft Defender Suite
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft Modern Workplace
- Interacting directly with clients in workshop environments
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Highly effective at working autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

Desirable Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Microsoft Ecosystem
- Microsoft IaaS
- Microsoft PaaS
- Microsoft Purview
- Data Governance Regulations and Compliance Strategies such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and SOX
- Industry certification beyond Microsoft (ISC2 etc)
- Core and product-based networking
