TEC Adviser Vacancy – Support Independence Through Technology

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting independence and inspiring others to embrace cutting-edge solutions? This TEC Adviser role is ideal if you’d like to:

  • Deliver our TEC (Technology Enabled Care) Strategy
  • Foster understanding and adoption of new technologies across teams, professionals, and the public
  • Champion a person-centred approach in care delivery
  • Build and inspire TEC Champions with confidence and knowledge

The role is not office-based, blending hybrid working with countywide travel to support the adoption of innovative care technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues, professionals, and the public to explore how technology can enhance independence
  • Work closely with Medequip Connect, our service provider, to find creative and scalable solutions for Technology Enabled Care (TEC)
  • Undergird adoption of new technologies across all levels (internal/external engagement)
  • Develop and grow local TEC Champions, equipping them to promote TEC within a strengths-based care framework
  • Liaise with the broader TEC Team, including processing referrals, as needed
  • Proactively support diverse teams to navigate technology integration safely and effectively

Requirements

To thrive, you should:

  • Have a passionate interest in Technology Enabled Care and a willingness to learn and innovate in a rapidly evolving space
  • Demonstrate confidence in proactively supporting varied teams and contexts
  • Understand the critical factors influencing Adult Care services and resource allocation
  • Commit to a person-centred approach, balancing independence, safety, and cost-effective service delivery
  • Be prepared for countywide travel, as knowledge-sharing is a core function of the role

Applicants must demonstrate skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to:

  • Ensuring a safe, accountable, and efficient service
  • Navigating funding/optimising resource use without compromising quality
