Responsibilities

Core Tasks include:

  • Building and optimising Python-based scalable architectures for core services
  • Administering large-scale data centres with tens of thousands of cores
  • Managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure using Python, .Net, Linux, databases, and storage
  • Developing self-service tools for automated operations across the business
  • Troubleshooting infrastructure failures in high-priority environments
  • Designing and securing global network connections
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to implement business solutions

Who We’re Looking For

Join **Man Group as an Associate Engineer in Platform Engineering, shaping the infrastructure that powers our hedge funds.

Key Requirements

  • Experience with some of these programming/scripting languages: C# | Java | Python | PowerShell | C++
  • Experience gained via:
    • Maintaining open-source projects
    • +2 years industry experience
    • Recent graduations or degree studies in: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Familiarity with:
    • Operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS)
    • Cloud technologies
  • Skills:
    • Self-organised, with strong prioritisation and multitasking capabilities
    • Resilient problem-solving, excellent communication
    • Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting ability
    • Self-driven learner, eager to adapt to a complex operational environment
