Job Title: Technology Lead – Business Analyst (Data Migration)

Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience in business analysis within data migration and systems replacement.
- Good understanding of data modelling, data quality assessment, and data governance principles.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to Market-Wide Half Hourly (MHHS) would be very useful.
- Gather information about existing data structures, data sources, business processes, and system dependencies.
Minimum Years of Experience
- 8+ years

Responsibilities
- Gather information about existing data structures, data sources, business processes, and system dependencies.
- Analyze the legacy application’s data model, data volumes, data quality, and usage patterns.
- Capture and define business, functional, and non-functional requirements for the data migration.
- Identify:
- Data mapping requirements,
- Transformation rules,
- Validation needs,
- Migration constraints.
- Work with business users to establish acceptance criteria for migrated data.
- Identify gaps between the current data model and the target application’s data structure.
- Support the development of the future-state data model and migration strategy.
- Define high-level migration scope, including in-scope/out-of-scope data entities.
- Assess risks, issues, and impacts related to data migration activities.
- Document system and process dependencies that may influence migration planning.
- Support the identification of:
- Data cleansing,
- Archiving,
- Quality-improvement needs.
- Produce clear documentation such as:
- Discovery findings,
- Requirements specifications,
- Data dictionaries,
- Process maps,
- Gap analyses.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a structured and accessible manner.
- Act as the communication bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.
