Job Title
Technology Manager
Summary
Our client, a leading chemical manufacturing business based in Glasgow, is seeking an experienced Technology Manager to lead on process engineering and take full ownership of plant technology and performance. This is a key leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in chemical or process manufacturing and a proven track record in continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimising processes and aligning plant capabilities with business and customer needs.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the process engineering team within the site leadership group
- Take ownership of plant technology, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
- Drive continuous improvement and performance optimisation initiatives across manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and engineering teams to support product realisation and scale-up projects
- Ensure alignment of plant capabilities with customer requirements and business objectives
- Oversee compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Manage technology transfer activities and process validation for new products
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators for plant performance and process improvements
Must-have Requirements
- BSc or higher in Chemical Process related subject (Non negotiable)
- Extensive experience in chemical or process manufacturing environments (pharmaceutical experience less relevant)
- Strong understanding of complex plant operations and process optimisation
- Proven leadership experience in driving process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and engineering disciplines
