Technology Pipeline Manager – Formula 1

Are you ready to make your mark in the world of Formula 1? At Formula 1, we are passionate about delivering the world’s greatest sports and entertainment spectacle, leaving a positive legacy wherever we race. Innovation has always been at the heart of what we do, ever since our first Grand Prix in 1950. Now, over 75 years on, the sport remains a pioneer, developing technologies with a significant impact beyond the track.

Everything you see on screen or at an event comes via our passionate and dedicated team—whether in engineering, broadcast, legal, logistics, security, event management, commercial, media rights, marketing, or communications. There’s always a talented team working to maximise the potential of the sport.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Technology Pipeline Manager to join our IT Portfolio and Technical Initiative team at Formula 1.

Reporting into our Head of Portfolio & Technical Initiatives, this role is responsible for managing the pipeline flow of technology initiatives (projects and programmes), ensuring smooth transitions between stages in the technology pipeline.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain the technology project pipeline, ensuring visibility and transparency across all stages.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape and define the scope of initiatives and develop high-level milestone plans.
  • Track progress and report on initiatives from ideation through business case development, contracting, and post-delivery (supporting technology partnership marketing activations).

Workshop Facilitation

  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define problems, identify needs, and shape early requirements, capturing clear use cases across early pipeline stages.

Business Case Development

  • Guide initiative owners through developing robust business cases, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and business value outcomes.
  • Validate assumptions, benefits, and cost estimates to support informed decision-making.

Contracting Coordination

  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to facilitate timely contracting for approved initiatives.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and approvals are in place before handover to delivery teams.
  • Monitor contracting progress and escalate delays or risks to stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
