Job Summary
The Technology Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting and placing high-calibre technology professionals across Data, Digital and Technology (DDaT) disciplines for public sector and financial services clients. This role combines candidate management, client engagement and business development activities to support the growth of Mayfair IT Consultancy's recruitment and consulting practice.
The successful candidate will develop strong talent pipelines across specialist areas including Data Engineering, Cloud, Cyber Security, AI, DevOps, Software Engineering and Business Analysis, with a particular focus on security-cleared professionals supporting UK Government programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen and assess candidates for permanent, contract and consultancy opportunities across technology and digital disciplines.
- Conduct telephone, video and face-to-face interviews to evaluate technical capability, experience and cultural fit.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines of highly skilled technology professionals, including BPSS, SC and DV cleared candidates.
- Advertise vacancies across job boards, social media and professional networks to attract suitable applicants.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and ensure all recruitment activity complies with UK GDPR requirements.
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Work closely with hiring managers and clients to understand technical requirements and project needs.
- Proactively identify and approach passive candidates through headhunting and market mapping activities.
- Support the placement of specialist professionals across Data, AI, Cyber Security, Cloud and Digital Transformation projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients across government departments, consultancies and regulated financial services organisations.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, market research and outbound business development activities.
- Promote the organisation's recruitment and consultancy services to prospective clients.
- Achieve agreed recruitment KPIs, revenue targets and business development objectives.
- Prepare candidate shortlists, market insights and recruitment reports for clients and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- Previous experience as a recruitment consultant, ideally within the public sector or a related field.
- Demonstrable business development experience and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Proven track record of achieving recruitment targets and performance KPIs.
- Strong understanding of the UK recruitment market and employment legislation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of DDaT professions and digital transformation programmes.
- Experience sourcing BPSS, SC or DV cleared candidates.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM systems and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Knowledge of technology disciplines including Data Engineering, Cloud, DevOps, AI, Cyber Security and Software Development.
