Technology Support Specialist

London | Full-Time | On-Site

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technology Support Specialist to join the London office of a leading international law firm.

This role is ideal for a customer-focused IT professional looking to build their experience within a fast-paced, professional environment. You'll play a key role in delivering hands-on technical support to users, ensuring technology services operate efficiently and providing an exceptional support experience across the business.

The Opportunity

As part of a highly regarded Technology & Information Services team, you will be responsible for supporting desktop and laptop technologies, mobile devices, meeting room technology, printers, and a range of user-facing systems.

Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll troubleshoot technical issues, deploy new equipment, and help maintain a seamless technology experience for end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain PC and notebook hardware.
  • Support and troubleshoot mobile technology, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Perform hardware installations, upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with meeting room and audio-visual technology setup and support.
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure conference room technology is functioning correctly.
  • Log, manage, and resolve support requests through the ticketing system.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records.
  • Manage loan equipment and device deployment processes.
  • Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and support to users at all levels of the business.

About You

You'll be a proactive and service-oriented individual who enjoys solving problems and building strong relationships with users.

Essential Skills

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in an IT Support, Helpdesk, Desktop Support, or Technology Support role.
  • Experience supporting laptops, desktops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Exposure to mobile device support, including iPhones and iPads.
  • Experience working with remote connectivity and networking technologies.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

Ideal Backgrounds

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • 1–3 years' experience in an IT support environment.
  • Strong customer-facing experience.
  • Experience gained within professional services, legal, financial services, hospitality, or other service-driven environments.
  • A genuine passion for technology and delivering exceptional user support.
