Our partner company is seeking a Telco Cloud Field Engineer to drive the transformation of telecommunications infrastructure toward cloud-native, software-defined solutions.

As a Telco Cloud Field Engineer, you will partner with telecommunications providers to design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud platforms supporting 5G, edge computing, and next-generation network technologies. This high-impact role combines solution architecture, consulting, and hands-on engineering with exposure to leading open-source technologies in complex production environments.

You’ll collaborate with global teams, influence product evolution through customer feedback, and contribute to modernizing cloud infrastructure across the industry.

Accountabilities

  • Design and deliver cloud-native telecommunications infrastructure for:
    • Virtual Network Functions (VNF)
    • Cloud Native Functions (CNF)
    • Network Functions Virtualisation (NFV)
    • Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC)

    • Private, hybrid, and multi-tenant cloud environments
    • OpenStack, Kubernetes, MAAS, Ceph, and related ecosystems
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation in deployments and operations.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in customer implementations.
  • Support customer onboarding, production readiness, and seamless adoption of cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to refine products based on field insights and customer experience.
  • Contribute to long-term technological roadmaps and influence future cloud/telecom platform capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
