Role Description
The Telecoms & IT Business Development Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Cardiff, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across telecoms, broadband, IT, mailing, and print services.

Day-to-day activities include:

- Prospecting and qualifying leads
- Building and managing a sales pipeline
- Delivering presentations and product demonstrations
- Preparing proposals and quotations
The role involves collaborating with technical and operations teams to design solutions, ensuring a smooth handover into account management and service delivery. The Business Development Manager will nurture relationships with key stakeholders, monitor market trends and competitor activity, provide regular performance reports, and contribute to sales strategy and revenue growth.
Qualifications
- Strong new business development and business development skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
- Experience with information technology and telecoms solutions, with the ability to understand and discuss technical offerings in a clear, practical way.
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting to clients, writing proposals, and collaborating effectively with internal teams.
- Proven account management skills, with a focus on relationship building, retention, and upselling or cross-selling services.
- Background in B2B sales within telecoms, IT, or related sectors is highly desirable.
- Comfort with CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic commercial analysis.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage priorities in a hybrid work environment.
- Ideally holds a relevant qualification in business, IT, communications, or a related field, or has equivalent experience.
