Are you looking for a new challenge as a Telematics Engineer? We are seeking experienced professionals to provide continued support to our growing and established customer base within Southampton and the surrounding areas.


What You’ll Do

  • Ensure Microlise product portfolio is fully integrated into our customers' assets
  • Conduct timely visits to customer sites to undertake installation, servicing, and continued support of our product suite
  • Complete survey visits and identify suitable solutions
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets
  • Manage inventory
  • Maintain the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools/equipment
  • Liaise with customers at all levels
  • Provide support to peers and contractor resources when required
  • Ensure administration is concise, accurate, and professional
  • Adhere to all internal process and procedures
  • Report on statistical data when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role, specifically working with auto electrics and/or telematics
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Schedules
  • Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and the ability to interpret them
  • Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust approach for different audiences
  • Ability to work autonomously, solve problems independently, and adhere to agreed processes
  • A commitment to ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Valid passport for travel

Working Pattern

This is a field-based role, requiring you to work remotely on customer sites. Our Field Engineers work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends, to cater to our customers' needs. Full details regarding the working patterns will be discussed at the interview stage, and you’ll receive an example of a typical rota upon applying.
