Are you looking for a new challenge as a Telematics Engineer? We are seeking experienced professionals to provide continued support to our growing and established customer base within Southampton and the surrounding areas.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure Microlise product portfolio is fully integrated into our customers' assets
- Conduct timely visits to customer sites to undertake installation, servicing, and continued support of our product suite
- Complete survey visits and identify suitable solutions
- Conduct quality assurance (QA) visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets
- Manage inventory
- Maintain the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools/equipment
- Liaise with customers at all levels
- Provide support to peers and contractor resources when required
- Ensure administration is concise, accurate, and professional
- Adhere to all internal process and procedures
- Report on statistical data when required

What We’re Looking For
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role, specifically working with auto electrics and/or telematics
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Schedules
- Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and the ability to interpret them
- Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust approach for different audiences
- Ability to work autonomously, solve problems independently, and adhere to agreed processes
- A commitment to ensuring quality and accuracy
- Valid passport for travel
Working Pattern
This is a field-based role, requiring you to work remotely on customer sites. Our Field Engineers work shifts on a rota basis, including weekends, to cater to our customers' needs. Full details regarding the working patterns will be discussed at the interview stage, and you’ll receive an example of a typical rota upon applying.
