Telemedicine Optometrist
Location: Glasgow City Centre (Flagship Clinic)
Salary: £55,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Tuesday to Saturday)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
On behalf of our client—the UK’s leading private provider of laser eye, premium intraocular lens, and cataract surgery—we are seeking a forward-thinking Telemedicine Optometrist to join their flagship clinical hub in Glasgow City Centre.

The Role
Working within a multi-disciplinary team alongside world-class Ophthalmologists and clinical leads, you will play a crucial role in modernising the patient journey through digital health platforms and clinical triaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Virtual Consultations: Communicate with, advise, and treat pre- and post-operative surgical patients remotely via state-of-the-art telemedicine platforms.
- Referral Triage: Review incoming referrals from community optometrists, GPs, and other primary care pathways, safely allocating patients to the correct specialist ophthalmology clinics.
- Clinical Support: Provide invaluable clinical guidance to the centralized hub's administrative and operational teams.
- Service Development: Partner with operations and clinical leads to identify and implement service delivery and quality improvements.

What We Are Looking For
- Registration: Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: Comfortable using digital platforms, clinical software, and video consultation tools.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver empathetic, clear advice remotely.
- Clinical Judgement: Strong diagnostic and triaging skills to ensure accurate patient routing and care.
- Schedule Flexibility: Able to work a Tuesday to Saturday shift pattern (40 hours per week).
