Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with a growing manufacturing business to recruit a temporary AAT qualified or part‑qualified Management Accountant to assist the Head of Finance with the production of management accounts, review costing and margin analysis in a 3-month interim role working 5-days on-site, based in Eye Suffolk.
Your new role
In this temporary Management Accountant / Costings Accountant job, you will:
- Assist in the preparation of the management accounts with full variance analysis for direct and indirect cost centres
- Regularly review manufacturing overheads
- Process month‑end accruals and prepayments
- Confidently present reports in a clear, actionable format to the senior management team and non-finance operational teams to highlight potential cost savings and additional costs driven by raw material and production variances

Any experience of improving standard costing and pricing systems, including bills of materials, reviewing margins, and pricing matrices, would be ideal, but this is not essential. Solid management accounting experience is essential.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be:
- Immediately available
- Willing to make a commitment for 3 months
- Working on-site in Eye Suffolk IP23
- Experienced in producing or at least assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
The business is flexible in qualification, being AAT or CIMA Qualified as well as being qualified by experience, provided you have the relevant skills for producing monthly management accounts.
What you'll get in return
As this is a temporary Management Accountant role, you will be paid an hourly rate equivalent to £38,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
