Temporary Caretaker – Farnham, Surrey

Location: Farnham, Surrey
Contract Type: Temporary, approx. 7 weeks
Start Date: September 2026
Hourly Rate: £15.73 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, split shifts 07:30–09:30 and 14:30–18:30 (some flexibility around times available)

About the Role

First Call Employment is recruiting a temporary Caretaker on behalf of a primary school client in Farnham, Surrey. This is a great opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual to support the smooth day-to-day running of a school site for approximately seven weeks from September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unlocking and securing the building at the start and end of each day
  • Moving deliveries to the school
  • Replenishing consumables in the toilets
  • Keeping the grounds tidy and well maintained
  • Carrying out additional tasks as allocated by the office manager or a member of the senior leadership team

What We're Looking For

  • A dependable, punctual individual comfortable working early mornings and late afternoons
  • Practical, hands-on approach with attention to site upkeep and presentation
  • Ability to work independently and respond to ad hoc requests from school staff
  • Previous caretaking, facilities, or site management experience is beneficial but not essential
