RCT Council is preparing to recruit to its Graduate Programme, offering fantastic opportunities to work in a vibrant environment, learn new and transferable skills, meet people from a range of backgrounds and develop a professional career in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
All Graduate Officers will be supported to complete either a Level 4 Project Management qualification or job-related technical training (all fully funded) as part of the programme.
H&S Team
The Council's Health and Safety Team is an integral part of the Human Resources, Employee Relations Service. The Health and Safety Team play a vital role in ensuring that the Council maintains a safe and healthy working environment and satisfies their legal responsibilities.
The Team is responsible for the development and review of Corporate Health and Safety Policies, as well as a range of guidance documents, templates and the communication of Health and Safety information.
The Team acts as an advisory service and provides competent Health and Safety advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders, as well as liaising with various enforcing authorities and acting as the point of contact.

The Team plays an active role in monitoring compliance, as well as processing incidents/accidents and investigating loss events to identify causation. The Team operates across a wide range of service areas and covers a hugely diverse range of safety issues.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Corporate Health and Safety Team. The role is ideal for individuals that display an attention to detail and can communicate effectively with stakeholders across a wide range of topics. As part of a small team, you will support the Team members in promoting a safe and healthy workplace for employees and those who visit our premises.
Essential Criteria
A minimum 2:2 degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management, Environmental Health, or NEBOSH Diploma/Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
