About the Role: Community Housing’s Digital Support

This Graduate Placement is based in the Community Housing department, a dynamic frontline service spanning multiple teams, including:

  • The Housing Solutions Team: Works with individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Homefinder Team: Processes social housing applications on behalf of 11 Registered Landlord partners
  • Social Letting Agency: Runs Leasing Scheme Wales, leasing privately owned properties for households experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • Housing Assessment and Support Team: Provides advice and accommodation support for individuals in temporary housing
  • Diversionary Activity Team: Offers wellbeing support activities (cooking classes, walks, gym visits)
  • Resettlement Team: Supports Homes for Ukraine, UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), Afghan Resettlement Accommodation Programme (ARAP) and Asylum Dispersal—assisting with housing, essential services, and rebuilding lives

Your Role: Digital & Information Support Officer

You’ll demonstrate practical impact by: ✔ Supporting and improving website content, digital reporting, and process documentation ✔ Collaborating with service managers and performance teams to gather data and suggest improvements ✔ Researching and implementing best practices in digital solutions for homelessness and housing services ✔ Preparing clear reports and presentations to support strategic decisions

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a motivated graduate with prior website development experience who wants to make meaningful contributions to public services while building a career in digital transformation and community support.


Essential Criteria

A candidate must fulfill all of the following:

  • A minimum 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) in ICT, Computer Science, Business Management, or Marketing/Communications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in team-based environments
  • Strong attention to detail and proven administrative capabilities
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • A passion for community impact and supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Confidence in engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with web design, CMS platforms, or digital marketing
  • Awareness of equalities, safeguarding, and accessibility principles
  • Interest in digital service improvement frameworks
