Role Description
Subject and Level:
- Middle Years (Years 6-9) Teacher
- Secondary (Years 10), Physical Education
BBCS seeks a dynamic and dedicated educator with expertise in trauma-informed practices to join their growing team.
Key Responsibilities
This role will involve teaching small groups of 1-10 students from diverse backgrounds, including:
- Literacy, numeracy, and life skills
- Pastoral care for a dedicated student group (including:
- Emotional and behavioural support
- Implementing metacognition and self-regulation strategies)
- Liaising with external agencies to support children’s well-being
- Regular communication with families to share student progress
- Collaborating with community-based partners on outreach initiatives

Ideal Candidate
- Highly competent in small-group interactive instruction
- Experience in trauma-informed teaching and student-centred approaches
- Commitment to building strong teacher-parent partnerships -ifique to working with students from complex backgrounds
Induction and Support
From 3 August 2026 – 11 December 2026 (9 months)
Conditions
- Rate: $84,971 - $123,236 per annum (full-time)
- Schedule Flexibility: Part-time and term-work arrangements considered
- School Local Partnership: Inner West professional learning community
