Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Salary: Permanent £95,000 - £100,000 PA
Position Summary
Department: Construction Reports to: Construction Lead
Great responsibility for preparation and setting out of temporary works on construction sites in compliance with BS 5975. takeover responsibility as Deputy during the Construction Lead’s absence.
Main Responsibilities
- Overall accountability and primary contact for all temporary works issues, including:
- Temporary works teams
- Temporary and permanent works designers
- Other project team members
- Oversee implementation of the Management of Temporary Works procedure and adherence to BS 5975
- Develop systems for proper execution and recording of:
- Temporary Works Request System
- Temporary Works Inspection Procedure
- Ensure preparation and issuance of a compelling design brief to temporary works designers
- Facilitate completion of relevant procedures, inspections and checks
- Coordinate all temporary works between site teams and designers
- Participate in weekly/pre-start lookahead meetings to identify and resolve temporary works risks

- Comply with all Company rules, instructions, or requirements deemed necessary for nuclear license compliance.
Fulfill duties related to:
- Housekeeping, including collection, segregation, and disposal of waste
- Removal of unused materials to eliminate/reduce slipping/tripping hazards
- Ensuring approval and communication of temporary works permits to Enka site teammates
- Safe use, maintenance, and storage of tools and equipment.

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large-scale industrial projects as a Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC.)
- University degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent equivalent degree/apprenticeship)
- CITB Temporary Works Coordinator certificate
- Ability to achieve a British Police Security vetting ( BPSS) clearance
- Must hold or able to attain the CCNSG Safety Passport
- Profound understanding of BS 5975: 2019 guidelines
- Right familiarity with CDM Regulations 2015
General conduct requirements:
- Co-operate with health and safety measures without hindering or abusing health-related provisions.
- Apply training diligently in work tasks involving provided company tools and equipment.
