Temporary Yarnstore Operator (6 month contract) – Hawick

Competitive Salary + Career Progression + Company Pension + Wellness/Health Benefits

Who are we looking for?

We have a brilliant opportunity available for someone to become our new Yarnstore Operator on a temporary basis. Ideally, we are interested in people with some experience and a background in the textiles industry. However, if you have the desire and commitment to be successful, we will consider training people with limited experience as first and foremost we want to hire people with the right attitude.

The successful candidate will become a flexible member of the current yarn store team. Although this role will be predominantly day shift, we will be looking for flexibility to do other shift patterns including early, day and backshift when required. A shift allowance will be payable in this instance. This is an opportunity to develop and grow your career as Barrie prides itself on hiring the best talent.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
