Directorate: Corporate Resources

Pay Level: 5, £30,160 - £35,530 (fully inclusive of Local Weighting Allowance) Contract Type: Fixed term contract (12 months) Working Hours: 37 hours per week Location: Observatory House/Slough (hybrid, minimum 2 days per week in the office) DBS Requirement: Standard Closing Date for Applications: Midnight (17th July 2026) Interviews: Week commencing (20th July 2026)


About the Role

Making every visit count—protect homes, support residents, and strengthen communities across Slough.

Slough Borough Council is looking to hire two motivated, confident, and community-minded Tenancy Audit Officers to join our Housing Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to take a hands-on role in ensuring:

  • Tenant and property records are accurate
  • Homes are occupied correctly
  • Residents receive timely and appropriate support

Key Responsibilities

As a Tenancy Audit Officer, you will:

  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc home visits across Slough to gather critical information on:
    • Occupancy, tenancy arrangement---
    • Household circumstances and property condition
  • Work closely with:
    • Senior Neighbourhood Officers
    • Other Council teams to support repairs, safeguarding, domestic abuse or anti-social behaviour reporting
    • Suspected tenancy fraud assessments
  • Ensure occupants are living safely, services are responsive, and vulnerable residents have pathways for tenancy sustainability.

  • Specialist skill: Accurate record-keeping

Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is a critical requirement.
