About the Role
We have 1 post available to use pro-active and interventionist casework to promote good lawful behaviour within the private rented sector, and support landlords and tenants with both new and existing regulations. We will be continuing to pursue prosecutions for illegal eviction, as well as addressing new offences brought in by the Renters Rights Act, representing one of the most significant changes in the private rented sector for decades, with the Council picking up new responsibilities in the policing of new offences.
Please note that the needs of the service are such that the post is primarily office based.
Interviews will take place on the week commencing 10th August 2026, so we would ask you to advise at application if there are days you are unable to be interviewed that week.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
