Job Role

About the Role

The Tenancy Officer role is based in Watford, with the flexibility to work from home part-time. This position is vital for efficient tenancy and occupancy management, utility administration, and operational compliance. Key responsibilities include overseeing utilities, council tax, and occupancy infrastructure, while ensuring data accuracy, rent assessments, and database compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track, manage, and verify utilities, council tax, and occupancy infrastructure.
  • Review, validate, and maintain rent assessment documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain operational contract registers and internal databases.
  • Collaborate with tenancy teams to ensure up-to-date and reliable data collection.
  • Generate comprehensive reports for senior management on:
    • Income issues
    • Historic and current tenancy issues
    • Data inconsistencies related to utilities and channel billing
  • Disseminate relevant data updates across the organisation.
  • Oversee data accuracy and inventories company-wide.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

Requirements

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience with CRM/accounting systems or related software.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple departments to meet deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills for prioritising tasks and resolving conflicts.
  • In-depth knowledge of utility bills and their processes.
  • Proficiency in data extraction, analysis, and reporting from multiple systems.
  • Understanding of:
    • Rent and service charge setting
    • Regulator of Social Housing Standards
    • Housing Act
    • GDPR
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative working abilities.
  • Strong foundation in:
    • Literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
    • Excel and data management
