About the Team
We are recruiting an enthusiastic Tenancy Sustainment Officer to support our Tenancy Sustainment and Support Service. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference by helping individuals maintain their tenancies.

Core Responsibilities
- Managing large and varied caseloads of often vulnerable customers at risk of losing their homes.
- Liaising with multiple council departments to resolve complex housing issues.
- Demonstrating understanding of landlord obligations and demonstrating:
- Skill in prioritising workloads
- Ability to motivate tenants to engage
- Willingness to work flexibly with an enthusiastic, "can-do" attitude
- A friendly and collaborative team-player mindset.
About the Role
Key Duties:
- Provide advice and support to private renters (including those in Lambeth Council schemes) to help sustain tenancies.
- Develop high-quality relationships with tenants, landlords, and support agencies through active casework.
- Maximise tenant engagement and minimise arrears/breaches.
- Be proactive in monitoring private tenancy expiry dates and initiating renewal negotiations.
- Maintain a sustainment tracer system to track and prevent homelessness risks across private sector tenancies.
