Housing & Assets – Housing Management & Tenant Engagement

Grade 8: £35,412 – £38,220 per annum

Are you passionate about empowering communities and making a real difference to people’s lives? We’re looking for a Tenant Engagement Officer to join our team and help strengthen relationships between residents and housing services across the borough.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in promoting tenant involvement and community engagement. You’ll work directly with residents, tenants’ groups, and partner organisations to ensure people have a strong voice in shaping housing services and their local communities.

You will:

  • Deliver innovative engagement activities across the borough
  • Support and develop tenants’ and residents’ groups
  • Build strong partnerships with council teams and external agencies
  • Help residents influence decisions around housing services and investment
  • Organise consultations, events, and training opportunities
  • Promote inclusion, cohesion, and equal opportunities

You’ll also support governance and scrutiny arrangements and ensure residents can effectively challenge and improve services.

We’re seeking someone who is organised, and committed to delivering excellent customer engagement.

You’ll have:

  • Experience working with community, tenant, or participation groups
  • Knowledge or experience within social housing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
