Tendering Engineer (Major Projects)

Location: Wakefield
Employment type: Full time
Working Hours: (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week)

About The Role…

A fantastic opportunity for a Tendering Engineer to join our team in Wakefield, you will be responsible for tendering projects for the Ipsum Power Major Projects Division.

Typical projects this person would work on are DNO contestable works 11-33kV, renewable energy balance of plant works DC/LV up to 33kV, access to 66kV-132kV projects, and training to assist career progression within the team.

As a Tendering Engineer you will…

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the standards, policies, and procedures of Ipsum Power Ltd and its customers.
  • Tendering multiple and/or major projects from a tendering perspective safely, competently, and effectively to time and budget.
  • Ensure project meets all current legislation HASAWA, NRSWA C.O.S.H.H. etc.
  • Total control for costing schemes and quotation as required.
  • Identify and inform Ipsum Power Private Ltd Directors / Senior Managers of commercial opportunities as appropriate.
  • Produce front end programme for certain tenders using Project Management tools. (Desirable)
  • Final review of delivered projects to review financial and delivery performance.
  • Liaise with line manager on a daily/weekly basis to manage critical dates.
  • Full job pack handover to be produced with your line manager, and handover meeting to be attended as required with PM’s.
  • Work with the Major projects teams to ensure safe, effective, and efficient implementation of Ipsum Power Private operations.
  • Contribute to wider team: advise, share knowledge and experience based on expertise.

About You…

This is an opportunity for someone with Major Project experience to join our team. You will be able to use MS Projects and CAD to produce site layouts. You will have experience working in a commercial, multi-divisional organisation at a fast pace. If you want to grow and develop your career then this is the role for you!
