Tendering Engineer | Sheffield | £40,000 to £45,000 + strong benefits package

I'm recruiting a Tendering Engineer for a switchgear manufacturer with genuine heritage in electrical engineering, part of a wider group that's been powering the built world for generations.

This isn't a role where you're pricing kit in isolation and firing it off. You'd sit right at the commercial heart of the business, turning incoming enquiries into winning bids across a full range of MV and LV switchgear products, and working shoulder to shoulder with Sales, Procurement, Engineering and Production to land the optimal solution rather than just the cheapest number.

The postholder owns the tender end to end: validating whether there's a viable offer worth chasing, shaping the strategy to improve win rates, reviewing terms and conditions, and negotiating final specifications with contractors, end users and OEMs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
