Tendering Engineer – Digital Power Applications

Mission: We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Tendering Engineer to join our Digital Power Applications team. In this role, you will manage the full tendering lifecycle — from reviewing customer enquiries to producing accurate, competitive bids for Power Monitoring, Automation and Digital Power solutions. You will play a key part in supporting sales strategies, ensuring high quality quotations, and driving strong quotation to order conversion rates. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute directly to business growth while working with innovative digital and electrical technologies. Responsibilities: Tendering & Quotation Management Prepare high quality, compliant bid and tender responses in line with business priorities. Review and approve tender pricing and costing estimates, submitting for management approval where required. Carry out formal risk assessments on relevant tenders and ensure compliance with internal processes. Maintain and update pricing tools, templates and quotation systems to meet market needs. Assess incoming enquiries and determine suitability for standard pricing models. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with the external sales team to support and execute sales strategies. Ensure smooth, accurate handover of accepted orders to project delivery teams. Maintain accurate opportunity, quotation and activity records within the CRM system. Commercial Governance & Issue Resolution Apply strong commercial judgement to evaluate tender value, competitiveness and probability of success. Proactively address contract related issues that could impact payment or project execution. Skills & Experience: Experience working with tendering processes and commercial evaluations. Knowledge of Power Monitoring Systems, SCADA, Automation, Protection, RTU solutions and related technologies. Understanding of LV and HV electrical distribution systems. Awareness of market trends, competitor offerings and switchgear technologies. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and assess business viability. Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cultures and functions. Well organised, detail focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities. Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
