Introduction
DB Cargo UK is on an ambitious journey to become Europe's leading rail logistics provider with a long-term plan to shift traffic from roads, protect our climate, and grow the economy. We have an exciting opportunity to join DB Cargo UK as a Terminal Support Worker. The Terminal Support Worker will deliver the business requirements to the customer/s in line with commercial agreements and customer Service Level Agreements (SLA) whilst ensuring that business requirements are delivered safely.

Our services replace the equivalent of over 22 million truck movements every year, saving 7 million tonnes of carbon emissions. As a Terminal Support Worker, you'll be directly contributing to reducing carbon emissions and shifting traffic from roads to the rail.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
