About the Role

Territory: Isles of Wight, Hampshire, Frimley, Oxford, Berkshire, Guernsey, Jersey, Gloucester, Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall, and Dorset

Position Overview

The Territory Business Manager Acute – Advanced Wound Care (AWC) oversees sales growth for Convatec AWC solutions in acute and post-acute care settings. Key duties include:

  • Territory revenue driving (aiming to exceed sales targets)
  • Clinical sales engagement (HCP consultation, training, shared decision support)
  • Strategic partnership, formulary inclusion, and pathway investments

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute an account-based sales strategy through:

  • High-impact stakeholder engagement (e.g., CVThN Board members, surgeons, theatre leads, nurses)
  • Regional empathy mapping to identify clinical care barriers & mismatch points
  • Product & industry expertise – translating brand innovation to improved HCP outcomes
  • Clinician upskilling via regular training sessions, CPD-informed resources & formal audits
  • Proactive guardrails for biosecurity, hygiene innovation, and single-use compliance
  • Education & field development – leads indication-specific studies & workshops to increase therapy adoption

Compliance Requirements

  • Full adherence to UK & EU regulations (e.g., CGS compliance, SOM+ for patient safety, CRM data governance)
  • Clear record-keeping through emed (integrated CRM tandem with Salesforce)
  • Monthly SFE benchmarking (share of knowledge, engagement optimisation, compliant use)

About You

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years medical/pharma sales experience (hospital/HCPro, inlcudosing medical device sourcing and placement)
  • Degree-level education (preferably in bio-medical sciences, nursing, or a complementary healthcare field).
  • Residency in UK/Isles of Man (or willingness to meet effective residence requirements)

Critical Skills & Mindset

  • Business development expertise – B2B progress chasing, pareto-based decision work
  • Surgical substrate knowledge – fluent in stapling devices, biosurge coatings, tracheostomy support
  • Capability in:
    • Absorbing complex clinical data (infection control, ostomy playlists)
    • Using medical semantics (e.g., ‘phagedena wounds, CCM strategies, clindamycin’
    • Showing situational intelligence (parrying NICE/preferred-provider debates)

Soft Skills & Cultural Fit

  • Pro-filateral attitudes, high energy, and strong stakeholder management where trustevsitl is critical
  • Poise under pressure – used to navigating HCP pushback, supply restrictions, and distorted negotiation
  • Persistent about knowledge gaps – left alone, you would independently seek pulls for assessments and standards
  • Fluid engagement between documents & simple presentations (shows thoughtfulness and speed)
  • Thrives in unstructured environments – combed for opportunities rather than waiting for outcomes
