Territory Manager
Territory Manager – McCurrach (on behalf of The Magnum Ice Cream Company)
Role Overview
Location: Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Taunton & surrounding areas (ideal postcode: TA6)
Contractor: Fixed-term contract until 31st December 2026 Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £26,500–£27,000 basic, pro-rata, plus:
- 10% annual bonus
- Tax-free lunch allowance

Role Title: Customer Development Executive (CDE)
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with independent retailers and wholesalers to promote the entire Wall’s portfolio (including Magnum, Cornetto, Walls, and Ben & Jerry’s).
- Identify and win high-potential new accounts, expanding distribution and market presence.
- Execute a data-driven call plan, shaping a dynamic territory strategy with support from the Regional Manager.
- Drive growth by improving:
- Distribution (ensuring products are available where they matter most)
- Availability (optimising shelf presence)
- Visibility (maximising in-store marketing)
- Compliance (following industry standards and retailer commitments)
- Execution (ensuring iconic brands deliver unforgettable customer experiences)
- Manage CAPEX assets, including Freezers on Loan and premium Point of Sale (POS) displays, ensuring recipients adhere to contractual agreements.
- Support Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with Quick Service Restaurants (QSR chains) at store level.
- Maintain administrative excellence, ensuring:
- Accurate system reporting (e.g., CRM, sales platforms)
- On-time submission of compliance tasks
- Effective use of Microsoft Office and digital tools

What You’ll Bring
Core Skills & Traits
- Hands-on, fun, driven, and target-orientated with a passion for bringing brands to life.
- Strong commercial acumen, resilience, and a desire to win with a proven ability to grow territories/accounts.
- Exceptional communication and people skills; confident in influencing diverse stakeholders.
- Experience preferred (but not essential) in:
- FMCG, Direct Sales, Convenience, or Field Sales
- Thoroughly organised and disciplined with strong administration, planning, and negotiation skills.
- Tech-savvy, formatted to use:
- Microsoft Office
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and sales systems
- Data-driven decision-making
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable, and empowered to work both independently and in teams.
Essential Qualifications
✅ Full, valid UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points or previous bans). ✅ Eligibility to live and commute from the role’s location (within designated postcode area TA6).
