Territory Representative
UK’s No. 1 Trade Kitchen Supplier Seeks Territory Sales Representative
Join Howdens, the UK’s No. 1 trade kitchen supplier, and play a pivotal role in growing your local customer account base. This field-based opportunity offers autonomy while building strong, sustainable business relationships across your assigned territory.
About the Role
As a Territory Sales Representative, you will:
- Build your client networking portfolio in the trade sector
- Secure new business while nurturing long-term trade partnerships
- Collaborate closely with depot colleagues to drive account growth
- Take ownership of expanding and managing the customer base within your territory
This role delivers real autonomy—balancing personal initiative with teamwork—while focusing on sustainable growth and strong customer relationships.

Requirements & Qualities
To thrive in this role, we’re looking for:
- A proven track record in winning new business or experience in a target-driven sales environment
- Confident interpersonal skills, capable of engaging trade stakeholders from the first interaction
- Self-motivated, resilient, and goal-oriented, with a drive to succeed
- Ability to develop expertise in joinery and hardware products/services
- Strong organisational skills, equipped to excel in a fast-paced environment
- A valid UK driving license

Key Responsibilities
Your role includes:
- Winning new business by proactively prospecting and converting leads into accounts
- Expanding and growing the account base within your territory, supporting depot performance
- Introducing new customers to the Howdens model, emphasising its effectiveness and benefits
- Collaborating with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency
- Building and maintaining strong, long-standing relationships with both existing and new accounts
- Managing customer inquiries professionally from initial contact through to resolution
- Contributing actively to team meetings with insights, performance updates, and innovative ideas
- Ensuring accurate data tracking and visibility across your activity and pipeline
- Adhering to Health & Safety standards in all working practices
