About the Role

Availability Window Here are the availability times we would like you to be available to work each week:

Pay:
- The Tesco Colleague rate starts at £13.28 per hour (increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25).
- Additional payments may apply depending on your location.
We offer: ✔ A minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week for new colleagues. ✔ Flexibility for at least 12 hours per week for those needing fewer shifts. ✔ Full scheduling within the agreed availability windows with 3 weeks’ notice.
Flexibility matters to us. If your preferred availability is close but not exact, we’d still like to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in making Tesco the favourite way to shop by:
- Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering exceptional, natural service every day.
- Being store advocates – knowing products, backstock, and services to support shoppers in the best way.
- Working across multiple store areas, including packaging, picking, replenishment, and service stations.
- Putting safety, efficiency, and customer needs first to drive sales, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
- Engaging with your local community – from seasonal events to charity opportunities – ensuring Tesco feels inclusive.
- Handling products with care to maintain quality before customers receive them.
- Living our values, being yourself, and making every shopper feel welcome.
- Accepting deliveries when required (some shifts may include this responsibility).

Requirements
✅ A genuine love for customer service – your natural ability to smile and serve your shoppers with warmth. ✅ Ability to build strong customer rapport, turning one-off shoppers into loyal returning customers. ✅ A problem-solver who takes the initiative to make the right choices for Tesco and its people. ✅ Strong teamwork skills – collaboration is at our core. ✅ Flexibility, punctuality, and a professional attitude, setting a great example as a store ambassador. ✅ Must be over 18 to apply (some exceptions apply – see Important Notes below).
