Colleague Role – Tesco Store (Various Locations)

Availability & Work Hours

We operate on a flexible scheduling system with guaranteed minimum hours:

  • Base pay:

    • £13.28/hour (below M25) | £14.55/hour (within M25)
    • Additional location-based payments may apply.
  • Minimum weekly hours: 16 hours (with part-time options possible down to 12 hours).

We match your availability windows to schedule your shifts, with 3 weeks’ notice of arranged hours. We’re happy to consider schedules close to (but not identical to) your availability.


Responsibilities

Your role will include:

  • Serving customers with passion – passing great natural service at all times.
  • Being product-proficient – knowing and recommending the range of products and services in your store.
  • Working across the store:
    • Front-of-store services (checkouts, customer queries)
    • Picking and replenishing stock as required.
  • Safety & efficiency – adhering to training and maintaining safe, effective operations.
  • Decision-making – implementing routines and actions that meet customer needs.
  • Seasonal & community events – engaging in store, charitable, and inclusive activities.
  • Monitoring store performance – understanding your role in driving service, sales, waste reduction, and shrink reduction.
  • Product care – handling goods with diligence to ensure quality reaches customers.
  • Representing Tesco – embracing our values, policies, and community spirit.
