Store Associate (Colleague)

About the Role

Availability Window

To find success in this role, you’ll need to be available for shifts as follows:

  • Sunday (Sun): 07:00 - 21:00
  • Saturday (Sat): 07:00 - 21:00

Our colleagues enjoy a competitive and generous reward package:

  • The Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts at £13.28/hour, increasing to £14.55/hour for stores within the M25.
  • Guaranteed minimum 16 hours per week for new colleagues (flexible to 12 hours with flexibility).
  • Additional payments may apply depending on location.

Shifts will be scheduled within these windows, with 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. Whilst we aim for a close match, we’re happy to explore flexible requirements.


What You’ll Do

    • Meeting customer needs at the right time.
    • Leading store routines to boost service, sales, and efficiency.

    • Participating in seasonal and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Driving profitability and value:
    • Understand your store’s performance.
    • Contributing to reducing waste and shrink while striving for profit.
  • Maintaining high standards:
    • Handling products carefully to ensure quality.
    • Representing Tesco’s values and policies.
  • Occasional operational support:
    • Possibility of assisting in deliveries into the store.
