What You’ll Do
As a Tesco Store Colleague, your responsibilities include:
- Serving customers with passion and pride, greeting them with a smile.
- Promoting and knowing our products and services thoroughly.
- Performing work across service areas, picking, and replenishment as needed.
- Applying safety training to ensure an effective, safe workplace for all.
- Making customer-focused decisions and delivering routines to meet customer needs.
- Participating in seasonal, community, or charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understanding store performance metrics and actively contributing to improving service, sales, reducing waste, and driving profit.
- Handling products with care, maintaining quality and ensuring they reach customers in the best condition possible.
- Embracing our values, promoting inclusion, and ensuring everyone feels welcome.

You may also be required to assist with shift deliveries on occasion.
Rate of Pay
- Base pay for most locations: £13.28 per hour
- Locations within the M25 pay up to £14.55 per hour Additional payments may apply depending on role, location, and qualifications.
We guarantee at least 16 hours per week for new colleagues or can accommodate requests for fewer hours down to 12, should you prefer a part-time structure.

- A professional attitude, arriving punctual and clean in appearance to represent Tesco as a brand ambassador.
