The Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour. For stores within the M25, this increases to £14.55 per hour. Additional payments may also apply depending on location. It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but we also provide 12 hours for those who prefer flexibility. If your availability closely aligns with the described windows, we’d still like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Know your customers and deliver great natural service to them with confidence.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services available in your store.
  • Support across the store in areas such as customer service, picking, and replenishment as required.
  • Apply training in safety, efficiency, and customer service excellence.
  • Make customer-first decisions and ensure store routines are followed to meet their needs at the right time.
  • Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, contributing to an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understand and contribute to your store's performance, helping drive service, sales, profit, reduced waste, and shrink goals.
  • Handle products with care to ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Practice Tesco’s values—empower yourself to be authentic, promote welcome, and adhere to policies at all times.
  • Depending on need, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
