About the Role

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 per hour (increasing to £14.55 per hour for stores within the M25). Additional payments may apply depending on location.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week for new colleagues but flexible options down to 12 hours are also available.

The table above shows the weekly availability windows where we require your support. Hours will be scheduled within these times, with 3 weeks' notice before your shifts. Flexibility is encouraged—applications with close but not exact matches to these times are still welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service: Serve customers with passion and pride, ensuring they leave satisfied. Know our products and services inside out.
  • Store operations: Work in multiple areas (service, picking, and replenishment) as required.
  • Safety and effectiveness: Apply training to ensure our store runs smoothly and safely.
  • Customer-focused decisions: Use your judgement to prioritise customer needs and precise timings.
  • Community engagement: Participate in seasonal, charity, and community events, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Store performance: Understand store goals, from service improvement to waste reduction and profit enhancement.
  • Product care: Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in excellent condition.
  • Values and policies: Embody our culture, make colleagues/guests feel welcome, and follow store guidelines.
  • Delivery support: Occasionally, you may assist with receiving deliveries into the store.
