Tesco Store Associate - Availability-Based Role

About the Role

This role is for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and are flexible with their availability to meet Tesco’s operational needs. The store thrives on committed, enthusiastic colleagues who can adapt their working hours to these key Availabilty Windows:

  • Availability Window
    • Sunday
      • From: 10:00
      • To: 16:00
    • Tuesday
      • From: 16:00
      • To: 22:00
    • Friday
      • From: 16:00
      • To: 22:00
    • Saturday
      • From: 10:00
      • To: 19:00

We will schedule your guaranteed hours within these windows. shifts. Colleagues are given 3 weeks’ notice of their shift patterns.

Pay & Hours

Start your journey with Tesco with a colleague rate of pay from £13.28/hour. If you work within or near the M25 area, you can expect £14.55/hour. Additional payments may apply depending on your location.

We guarantee you a minimum of 16 hours per week, while flexible options are available for the minimum of 12 hours. Your availability can be slightly adjusted, so we’d still love to hear from you if your preferred times closely align with these windows.


Key Responsibilities

Customer First

  • Provide expert product and service knowledge to meet customer needs.

Cross-Store Contributions

  • Support in service, picking, and replenishment areas as required.
  • Apply training to ensure safe, effective operations and buyer satisfaction.

Decision-Making & Performance

  • Make customer-focused decisions and optimise daily store routines.
  • Understand your store’s performance and contribute to:
    • Driving sales and service success
    • Minimising waste, shrinkage, and improving profit
  • Handle products with care and quality, ensuring they reach customers in top condition.

Legality & Age
