Our Tesco Colleague pay starts from £13.28 an hour, increasing to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It is our policy to offer 16 guaranteed hours each week to new colleagues, but if you wish to work fewer hours (a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too. Details of the availability windows, within which we will schedule your shifts, are provided above. We provide 3 weeks' notice for your scheduled shifts. While we look for near-match availability, we welcome candidates with flexible availability near the advertised times.


Overview

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Serving customers with passion – knowing your customers and delivering great natural service.
  • Product expertise – being passionate and knowledgeable about products and services in your store.
  • Store-wide support – assisting in service, picking, and replenishment areas as required.
  • Safety and effectiveness – putting received training into practice to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality customer service.
  • Decision-making – making customer-focused decisions and delivering routines that meet customer needs.
  • Community engagement – participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Store performance knowledge – understanding store metrics and contributing to service improvement, waste reduction, and profit growth.
  • Product care – handling products carefully to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in optimal condition.
  • Being yourself – living Tesco values, welcoming everyone, and adhering to store policies.
  • Delivery handling – accepting store deliveries when required.
