About the Role (Frontline Store Associate)

Availability Window

Our recommended availability for this role, ensuring flexibility within your contracted hours:

  • Sunday: 16:00 – 24:00
  • Saturday: 16:00 – 24:00

Alternatively, we welcome opportunities where availability closely aligns with the advertised times, even if not perfectly matched. Shift scheduling will be adjusted within these windows, with 3 weeks’ notice provided.


Starting Pay & Working Hours

  • Starting wage: £13.28 per hour (up to £14.55 within M25 areas)
  • Additional location-based payments apply.
  • We guarantee minimum 16 hours per week, with the flexibility to work from 12 hours if preferred.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Serving customers with warmth and precision, ensuring a exceptional service experience.
  • Broadstore functions including checkouts, picking goods, replenishment, stock rotation, and designated tasks as needed.
  • Applying training effectively to uphold safety, consistency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Making customer-empowered decisions, adapting routines per demand (e.g. seasonal peaks) for optimal service and sales.
  • Engaging in store initiatives, charity events, and community outreach, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitoring store performance, collaborating to drive growth, reduce waste/loss, and profitability.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and hygiene.
  • Adhering to Tesco values and policies, representing the brand and ensuring inclusivity.
