Customer Service Colleague - Store Role

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Tesco as a Customer Service Colleague, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional service to shoppers every day. Your job will involve a mix of energetic tasks, teamwork, and making a real difference in your community—with the possibility of flexible hours and abundant benefits.

Our Availability Window:

Days | From time | To time Mon | 16:00 – 22:00 Fri | 08:00 – 18:00

We will schedule your contracted shifts within these periods, ensuring 3 weeks' notice before confirming your hours. While we ask for customers firstly match, we’re happy to consider slightly different availability—just let us know if your times Şubat Büyük.


Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride, delivering natural, friendly service.

  • Being a passionate and knowledgeable ally who champions Tesco stores products, offerings, and professional standards.

  • Working flexibly across the store, including service desks and picking/replenishing tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • Applying store-specific training effectively to maintain safety, efficiency, and top-notch customer service.

  • Empowering the customer first: Making decisions that prioritise their needs while meeting store routines for peak service and sales.

  • Taking part in seasonal events, charity work, and community initiatives—delighting customers by fostering a great store atmosphere.

  • Understanding sales and service metrics to contribute to store performance goals (sales, waste reduction, profit preservation), as well as sharing responsibilities for product handling and quality control.

  • Living the Tesco values daily: staying welcoming, embracing diversity, and enforcing store policies.

You’ll need:

    • £13.28/hr (with an increase to £14.55 for stores within the M25),
    • Potential local bonus payments.
