About the Role

Our Tesco Colleague rate starts at £13.28/hour, rising to £14.55/hour for stores within the M25. Additional location-based payments may apply.

We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week for all new colleagues, with opportunities to work as little as 12 hours if preferred.

(Availability Window) We can schedule shifts within these times:

  • Sun: 22:00 - 07:00
  • Fri: 22:00 - 07:00
  • Sat: 22:00 - 07:00

You’ll receive 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional service: Nurture genuine connections with customers, always reflecting Tesco’s values with passion and pride.
  • Product expertise: Master our store’s range—ensuring knowledge about services and products.
  • Versatile work: Support across key areas like cash registers, picking/replenishment, and frontline customer service.
  • Training & safety: Apply safety training efficiently and advocate best practices daily.
  • Inclusivity: Engage with seasonal events, community causes, and charity work to foster a welcoming environment.
  • Performance focus: Understand your store’s goals—aiming for profit, reduced waste, and sales improvement.
  • Product handling: Care for stock quality to guarantee customers receive items in top condition.
  • Customer-driven decisions: Adjust routines as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Embrace our values: Reflect Tesco’s purpose by being professional, supportive, and aligning with our policies.
