Customer Service Assistant at Tesco – Store Associate

About the Role

Availability Window

We require availability for shifts within these time slots during the week:

  • Sunday From 10:00 To 16:00

  • Monday From 15:00 To 20:00

  • Tuesday From 15:00 To 20:00

  • Saturday From 10:00 To 19:00

We’ll schedule your contracted hours within these windows, and you’ll receive 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to these times—but not exact—we’d still love to hear from you!

Pay & Guaranteed Hours

  • Guaranteed minimum hours: 16 hours per week (flexibility down to 12 hours available).
  • Hourly rate starts at £13.28 (increases to £14.55 per hour for stores within the M25).
  • Additional location-specific payments may apply.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be at the heart of customer service, contributing to a positive shopping experience every day:

  • Deliver exceptional service – know your customers, engage with warmth, and focus on their needs.
  • Products & operations – be knowledgeable about store products/services, assist in picking/bin replenishment, and support seasonal initiatives.
  • Sales & performance – understand store KPIs (service quality, sales targets, waste reduction).
  • Safety & compliance – follow all safety policies and frequently undergo training.
  • Community impact – participate in charity events and promote an inclusive store environment.
  • Occasional tasks – may include accepting deliveries when required.
