About the Role
Availability Window
We require colleagues to be available between the following times each week:
- Sunday: 16:00 to 24:00
- Monday: 16:00 to 24:00
- Saturday: 16:00 to 24:00
Note: While your availability should align as closely as possible with these windows, we’re open to reasonable flexibility if your schedule overlaps closely.
Pay & Hours Our Tesco Colleague pay rate starts at £13.28 per hour, increasing to £14.55 per hour for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though opportunities for 12+ hours may also be available. We provide 3 weeks’ notice in advance of scheduling shifts.
Key responsabilites
This role is action-packed and varied. You’ll be at the heart of customer experience, helping Tesco deliver great service every day. Here’s what the role entails:
- Building fantastic customer relationships: Knowing your customers, greeting them with passion, and making every shopping experience enjoyable.
- Product expertise: Ensuring a passion for and deep knowledge of the products and services in your store.
- Fulfilling diverse tasks: Supporting across service desks, picking, and replenishment where needed.
- Training in action: Applying health, safety, and operational training to work effectively and serve customers brilliantly.
- Making smart decisions: Prioritising customer needs while maintaining standards.
- Engaging with our communities: Participating in seasonal, charity and community events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Driving store success: Contributing to service quality, sales, waste reduction and profitability.
- Ensuring quality control: Handling products with care to maintain freshness and presentation.
- Walking the values: Being your true authentic self while embodying Tesco’s values and policies.
